Abraham Simmonds (1839~1913)

Abraham Simmonds, the son of William Simmonds and Sarah Spink was born on the 13th January 1839 in Hesset, Suffolk. He was a Shepherd.

He married Caroline Bugg (the daughter of Ambrose Bugg and Elizabeth Bland) on the 8th May 1858 in Rougham and together they had the following children:

• George A Simmonds (1867~ )
• Asaph Simmonds (1870~1949)
• Daniel Simmonds (1872~1932)

• Aaron Simmonds (1876~ )

Caroline died in 1890 and he then married Ellen Barker (the daughter of Mark Barker) on the 23rd June 1892 in Rougham and together they had the following children:

• Henry Simmonds (1894~ )
• Joseph Simmonds (1900~ )

Abraham died of diabetes, diabetic gangrene and exhaustion on the 12th December 1913 in Rougham.
